Location: Curaçao is located in the southern Caribbean, just north of Venezuela, and is known for its tropical climate, azure sea, and friendly atmosphere.
Inhabitants: The island has approximately 160,000 hospitable inhabitants who welcome visitors with open arms.
Language: Papiamento, Dutch, and English are spoken in Curaçao – ideal for Dutch travelers who want to feel at home quickly.
Currency: The Caribbean guilder (ANG) is the official currency, pegged to the US dollar. Both ANG and USD are accepted everywhere on the island.
Climate: Curaçao enjoys warm weather year-round, with temperatures around 28°C (82°F). Thanks to the constant trade winds, the climate is pleasant, and the island is outside the hurricane belt – perfect for a carefree, sunny holiday in Curaçao.
Time difference: In winter, it is -5 hours and in summer -6 hours with the Netherlands.
